After a year of planning, here's my build spec, comments please ?

Thanks Ezyryder. I'm seriously considering swapping the 8GB geil for the 4GB Gskill, and maybe upgrading to an Asus Maximus Formula Intel X38 with the spare cash. Will the memory work in this ?
 
Finally done it, changed to the 4GB GSkill ram and to the Asus Maximus X38 m/b and clicked order !

Just got to work out how to put it all together now !

No doubt I'll be back here.
 
That's the fun bit! Enjoy playing with it :)

The good thing about that kit, is that if you ever want to upgrade to 8gb you just have to go and buy another one like that :)
 
Hey Lee, you made a good choice with the motherboard you clicked and bought! I bought mine 1.5 months ago and it's great :) The manual is great and very informative - great for a first build.

You should receive it Thursday - all the best setting it up.

p.s. I purchased 8GB ram (the prices were crazy low with Gibbo's special offers). I have installed Vista, now I cannot get into Vista cos it's crashed. :( Found 4GB is more than enough for now (in Windows XP), till I get time to reinstall Vista in the next few days.
