.. other tablets! in comparison, the touchpad looks so insuperior to the transformer from asus or the tab 10.1, does anyone have any advise on which top end tablet to buy, is there any new ones on their way ?

It's not really very inferior, just different. Factoring in the price, it's considerably better!

Anyway, if you want a tablet at full price, get the iPad 2, Transformer or Tab 10.1 (in that order ;)).

no need to be condescending guys, only asked for your help, its a word i grew up with. anyone know any info on the ipad 3, im not really an apple fan, im more of an android sort of guy.

If it's not an iPad or Android, no point. And since iPad still has 97% tablet market share (engadget), if it's not an iPad but priced similar to an iPad, get an iPad because the Apps are there, the user base, the support, the warranty, the walk-in advice...

I would say the Transformer has the edge on the Sam tab, because of that dock and battery life.

Problem is that webOS is better than Honeycomb. The fact is every single Honeycomb device to date has the jerky lag problem right there on the home screen.

In my opinion the interface is counter intuitive and a very good example of multiple development teams responsible for disparate facets of the operating system. But being rushed through to get a product out there and lacking the cohesive experience you garner from iOS or webOS.

the asus transformer is fantastic value and you can get prob one of the best docking stations for it too that doubles the battery life.
the Samsung galaxy tab is also great device. You will not go wrong with either one

I've caught the bug too but I think I'll hold out for a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet, it looks sexy.

Although I wish they wern't all so expensive, I feel £250-300 would be the sweet spot.

wow just looked it up, same specs as everything else yet with gorilla glass, looks sexy! and is £349 according to google converter. hmm where do i find a 3g one

$499 = £399 if the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are anything to go by.

Definitely won't be sub £300.

think im going to go with the lenovo, looks bad ass! though its early days, going to find more reviews on it. looks so nice in hands on reviews. the fact you can plyg a usb stuck in and transfer files. gorilla glass too, i always worry about scratching the screen
