After something epic to play

i know this thread started +1yr ago... but i am just playing through Titan Quest for the first time... i concure with Craig321... great game... really enjoying it.

Hearts of Iron 3 - Very intense game, very difficult to get your head around but when you manage to master it, it's amazing.

Ordered Galactic Civ - ultimate edition - heared it's good

C&C: Generals + zero hour. Some people didn't like it, but I loved it! The score for China is immense aswell.

Tropco 3 - not really an rts I suppose but you're in charge of a Carribean Island. It's hilarious and can either be challenging or just pure mayhem.

Company of heroes - absolutley amazing game, single player is amazing (apart from the USA ones, but I never really find USA WWII interesting) the multi is amazingly balanced and fun.

Starcraft 2. It gets pretty epic when you have an 8 player 200 supply (max supply) battle!

A zerg 200 zergling rush is pretty awesome, as is a massive carrier vs battlecruiser attack. Forgetting the epic part its a fantastic balanced game right from the start. Plus the average game length is only about 15 minutes. You can reach max supply in about 20-25mins so it doesnt take hours for huge battles.

Looks like you haven't played Mass Effect 2 or any of the Fallout games yet, go get them now :)

It is a fun game but would advise getting the fanpatch and avoiding the TQVault as it spoils the collecting part of the game. The makers are apparently working on another RPG based on the same engine. For its age, it still looks beautiful in places. Worth playing until Diablo 3 appears.

Ignoring games already posted:

Freespace 2
KOTOR
GTA:SA
Unreal

All different genres, all over 5 years old, all very much epic experiences.

Homeworld 2 for some good story driven space strategy. And if you like it you could get the earlier two games if the graphics don't put you off (still look OK to me).

The game works fine for the brute force attack, but also allows for more planned attacks such as using the Y axis for finding weaker armoured section of ships. Targeting sub system to cripple ships, and then nick them for yourself.

The game has a unit cap, so not overloaded by massive fleet management. And you get to carry units across to next mission.

Edit: The music is relaxing, and the visuals can be trippy.
