afterburner not showing fps

downloaded msi afterburner 2.2.0 beta 7 and using an msi gtx 580 lightning card.

when i go to the on screen display i like to show gpu load, gpu temp and fan speed.

for some reason though the frames option on afterburner is grayed out so i cant get my fps to run in the on screen display. i understand i can use fraps but just like using 1 program.

any ieas anyone??

also using the latest nvida beta river (the bf3 one)

Erm, never used Afterburner for showing FPS, always used FRAPS. Plus with fraps you can record and take screenshots of your gaming!

Try looking in the options and changing the colour of the FPS display. If not, just get FRAPS!

I am about to install the latest version of MSI AB and will see what I can get to help you out!

Right, I have installed MSI Afterburner Beta 7 for my HD5770. Works fine. Below is an image of how I have it set up and Fifa 12 showing FPS, time and temps. Temps very high today. It's 35C in my bedroom lol! Fan Speed @ 100%

Highlight Framerate and choose the 2 options I have checked, also add the TICK to FrameRate!

Should work it out for you dude xD

on mine the frames part is grayed out. i cant click it at all. all the others work ok coz i like to have gpu usage and fax speed and also momory usage. just cant choose frames for some reason. ill try and get a screen shot uploaded in a bit.

Yeah, I had this same problem with the latest version of Afterburner with my GTX 570, all other OSD options are available but no fps, I went back to the previous version which works fine for all OSD options, previous version also allows me to adjust gpu voltage which the new version doesn't.

ive sorted it now smit101. all i done was actually click on the tick and it worked. no idea why i had to do this for the frames coz all the other OSD options were not like this.

tested the on screen frames on crysis warhead and works fine.

Told you to apply a tick next to frame rate

yeah cheers cinderz lol. im glad its sorted now and thanks for you screen shots and that. think im gonna get rid of fraps now as well and just use msi afterburner for an all in one. great bit of software isnt it.
