Hey Guys,
So my new 7970 came this morning and it works! Crossfire set up ok but even thought he fans are sat at 25 and quiet, the tachometer is flat out with a yellow line showing 943519? The min is 3655 and the max is shown in red as 19518072? Anyone got any ideas?

When I boot into game they both go down to 8000 rpm but when i quit they fly back up.

Have you rebooted? I've seen this on occasion when messing with cards/drivers, usually a reboot clears it.

Yeah mate a few times. I found a fix and its leaving fan at 30. Drop it to 25 and the tach readings fly up into the red. I should mention they are Gigabyte WF 7970s

Disable that. All that matters is the fan speed.

I can't even shed any light on what Tachometer means without googling tbh. All i know is its a load of silly numbers which means diddly squad when you have a nice steady and reliable fan speed percentage to look at.
