Aftermarket H1 HID's or LED's etc?

£500 per headlight unit to replace them though.

This I don't understand as LED's are much cheaper to produce, they are playing on the fact people want white light.

Trouble is, although some are brighter they do not have the same range as HID's or light the road up as god as HID's. Much better suited to a spotlight use than the broad spread of the headlight.

No, a properly designed LED headlight unit is WAY more expensive than an HID unit. Individual LEDs, yes, but as a complete light engine not a chance.

As for "brightness" and "range", this is all dependent upon the intensity of the source and the design of the optics. There is no standardisation of LED headlight design, unlike HID, so there is lot of variation in terms of how manufacturers approach the design and the function of the product itself.

I have that exact kit in my Celica 35w 5000k bulbs from hids4u, had it in there over 3 years now and never had any issues with it, as you said you have projector housing so you shouldn't have any issue blinding people. I needed to buy a separate bulb holder adapter to make sure they didn't move, but as Diagro said they are very simple to install.
