Does anyone use Creed fragrances? I have recently discovered these myself and they are in a different league to anything else. I have the Erolfa, Silver Mountain Water and Green Irish Tweed and love them all. I don't know which to go for next though, any recommendations?
Ah, three of the Creed classics. Sir has impeccable taste
Further Creeds to investigate:
Bois du Portugal or
Tabarome for formal evening gentlemanly class,
Himalaya is a great all-rounder and
Millesime Imperial is damn near perfect for hot sunny days.
I've also heard good things about their new
Virgin Island Water, though not tried it myself yet. It's another summery fragrance, with coconut but apparently not so much that it becomes feminine.
Be very wary of Creeds for sale on Ebay, however, as there are a lot of fakes out there. Best to buy from a reputable source, and preferably in person rather than online, as Creed fragrances can vary a surprising amount between batches. Test from the exact bottle that you're looking to buy if you can.
Given your appreciation of fine British fragrances, you may wish to investigate those from such traditional British perfumers as
Geo F Trumper,
Penhaligons,
Czech & Speake and
Floris. And if you want something classic with a bit of a Mediterranean twist [think David Niven on the island of Capri] then there's the utterly brilliant
Acqua di Parma Colonia.
