Aftershave suggestions

You didn't try Paul Smith - London :( Shame. I'm surprised hardly anyone else recommended it. All the ladies I know who smell it adore it on any bloke.

Paco Rabanne - Black XS
One of, if not the nicest aftershave I have had. Got it few weeks ago and its by far the nicest smelling aftershave I've had!

Paul Smith London was on my list originally but the lady at the store said its been discontinued :(

How odd - I bought some more today, from the Paul Smith store in London. They made no mention. I certainly hope not!! :)

Estee Lauder - Pleasures (one of my favourites. Really liked this. Nice Sweet. Shame the name is a bit naff - Pleasures for men :o 5/5 stars)

Really lol - how funny - I used to work in a dept store and the general consensus was that really smelt pretty awful..!
but then there some people liked it - seems to vary big time between people!

Nice review though man :) Some gd stuff in that list!

[interesting findings snipped...]
I then chose two of my favourites Paco Rabanne - Black XS & Estee Lauder - Pleasures to spray on my skin to decide which I like the best. It has now been an hour and I can now say that the Black XS is very sweet, smells like the candy coating on M&M's, would give me a headache if I smelt this all day.
Thanks for the update :)

I've not tried Pleasures, but you were right about Black XS; there's something in it that can get really aggravating and cloying if applied heavily or frequently. That's been my observation, anyway.

If you didn't like Cool Water, don't worry about missing Green Irish Tweed, as they're VERY similar initially [though Green Irish Tweed gets better while Cool Water fades away]. Guerlain Vetiver and Eucris would have been a bit of an odd choice for a younger man, which I'm guessing you must be, judging by the number of sweet scents you favoured. So you dodged the bullets of old men there, too :D

It's a pity you couldn't try Terre d'Hermes, as it's one of the more interesting modern scents. But I'm impressed that you followed your nose and bought one of the less well-known fragrances.

My collection consists of:

D&G The One
JPG Le Male
212 For Men
Issey Miyake
Armania Mania
Lacoste Pour Homme
CK Obsession

I love them all as much as each-other, but 212 for men is probably my favourite at the moment. Suitable for all occasions, women LOVE it (and frequently ask what i'm wearing), and it's not overpowering.

Boots have stopped doing Armani white. Gutted cause i've to a 20 pound voucher to spend there as well. Not sure what to get now

Personally I love Davidoff Cool Water on a man... mmm lovely! You can get it quite reasonably too from fragrancedirect.com (i think thats what its called!) :)

Georgio Armani Diamonds is quite nice also Jean Paul Gautier is not bad. My fav is Issey Miyaki, been using that for years

I have recently added the following to the collection...

Geo F. Trumper Eucris - Awesome masculine scent!
Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa - Again, awesome. Distinctive, powerful, confidence inspiring and a good signature.
Geo F. Trumper Wild Fern - I either love it or hate it depending on mood
Creed Neroli Sauvage Millesime - Like most other Creeds it doesn't last very long at all but the fragrance is nice.

Scuzi, where do you buy the Acqua Di Parma? Never seen it where I normally shop, I'd like to try some sometime. Want to try out some Penhaligons too, but not seen that anywhere either.

I'd also vote for Eucris - although Mrs CF93 isn't a fan of colognes I love it (and the Sandalwood and Portugal. Yes, I'm a bit of a Trumpers fan!)
