I dont think it has anything to do withe the power of the bow. I'm not 100% certain but I think it refers to the fact that some classes get the bow skill at level 5, others get it at 22 & some never get it at all. I would assume you cannot use the bow without the skill.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

lol, i understand that, but I'm not talking about the bow skill itself.
The point i was getting at is that in WoW each weapon has a level attached to it. Only 1 Amazonian bow is being offered in the pre-order, so if it's available to level 5's then it's a low level bow and as such why would a level 22 want to use it when their bow skill eventually becomes available.

Reminds me of when I first started WoW as a hunter and thought ohh, good, at lvl 40 I get the mail ability, I'll go back to the lvl 1 starting area and collect some mail drops rather than buy it ( i was an mmorpg noob at the time), only to later realise, why would a level 40 want level 1 grey mail items?

Perhaps weapons and armour work differently in AoC, but I've not had a chance to play any of the betas so don't understand how weapon levels and things work.

Not too happy at all, just received my pre-order key and just read on the aoc forums that early access is sold out (I cant see any option on the subscription to purchase early access)...O well I'll have to wait a few more days I guess but its not the best start from funcom. I wasn't expecting them to sell out of early access keys :rolleyes:

. Btw the Amazonian bow can only used from level 25 onwards as it stated that after I inputted the key on to the AOC site. Ive got the client downloaded and patched but now I won't have any early access

So what does this mean? I ordered from the rainforest place today. And they said that they will send out early keys so that we can play on the 17th?

I'm guessing it means that early access it sold out. You'll have a key, but won't be able to use it. You'll have to wait for the full release before you can play.

You can use the key as it links to the item you get but there is no early access for us by the looks of it. Funnily enough I now have an option to purchase early access for me but when I click it, it states that my account is upgraded to the maximum...not quite sure what is going on there.

In that case the mounts sound like a better pre-order. A bow thats used for a few levels and then replaced or a mount that can be used until replaced with an Epic mount (if they occur in the game)??? Hmm, tough choices

I still keep looking at re-pre-ordering this, but am still not sure. Now that early play keys are all used up it's just a choice now of what difference is the mount going to make in the game? Is it a huge expense like WoW that will take 40 levels of saving to be able to buy or something thats earned from a quest chain at the correct level?

I don't know what to do

The mounts given are PVP mounts...

The Rhyno isn't fast but its a tank so will take a lot of damge and can charge...

Though the Rhino is pretty cool, I'd much rather have a horse as you cannot use melee combat whilst on the rhino.

Thats just sucky. Think ill cancel my preorder then!

I'm not sure if this going to work as it still says pending as I used my solo debit card and people have stated it not working for some. But yes it gave me the option to purchase early access.

Edit: Seems Funcom have reopened early access for the UK at least so get in there quick!!! Keep badgering the rainforest place, send them an email and give them a call, thats what I did and I got my key.

all working fine here, i can get to the log in screen.

We had that problem with a mates beta...

We reinstalled and it worked. there is a repair program in the program folder that mihgt work too.

Personally i've never had the problem.

Ok rainforest shop said theyll sort it for me.
But theyre saying that the code is only for the 19th (not 17th as most will be starting on).

Is this bull or true?

Also, is funcom doing the early access still?
