Age of conan - World of warcraft

Ouch, it really pains me to see statements like that, it shows how little people understood the game before they got bored with it. Maybe that's a design flaw of course, and the game just went for too steep a learning curve, but the pvp in aoc is very deep and needs a lot of skill. I posted this video in the other thread and none of the game's detractors commented on it - don't know whether it was because they were stunned into silence or simply didn't bother viewing it and kept trolling anyway:D
Anyway, it's a melee combat tutorial from someone who REALLY knows what they're doing, watch it and see if you still think AoC pvp takes no skill!

Didn't comment because the link didn't work. But anyway, stunned into silence? rofl, don't make me laugh.

Never said AoC didn't take any skill but seriously, that's nothing compared to WoW.

One problem i was starting to have with Wow was the fact that armor just made your character look like a power ranger. which is just naff

Thankyou. Again point proven.

My 11 year old came home from his school one time about a year or so ago (so he was infact 10!) and tells me all the kids have stopped talking about Yu-gi-oh and Runescape... and are now talking about wow! lol. kids.

I can assure you the vast majority of wow players are children who either have very giving parents or who's parients have given up in years past and let the kids play. I could go on but i think im done here, sorry.

lol power ranger, you can't be serious. You're just trolling now. Some of the armor looks awesome and way way better than any AoC armor I've seen which is just so dull and drab.

At least with WoW most people can actually run the damn game, and at a decent framerate. I can run WoW at max settings at a constant 60 fps and it looks good, runs smooth as silk. Meanwhile AoC runs at 10-30fps on my system with texture pop-in and stuttering whilst looking like a PS one game in places. No joke.

Even if the majority of WoW players are children, which I severely doubt, it doesn't bother me because there's no shortage of decent mature people to play with and have a laugh with over vent. Additionally I've never really had many problems with retared/childish players so I don't know where this whole "all wow players are immature/retarded kids" rubbish comes from.

Um... Im not compairing the two games against each other and am not saying either is better than the other. You, on the other hand seem to be on the defensive all the time.
The only game i can compair AoC to is EQ2. AoC and wow are worlds appart.

Lolzorz!!!111

Seriously though you cite 2 examples based on what kids talk about at school and that proves your point? Yes kids do play WoW but, in my experience, they are outnumbered by older players. I'm not saying just because someone isn't the age of a kid they won't act like one but i've experience that in all online multiplayer games.

My PC isn't THAT old. X1900XTX, Athlon 64 3500+, 2GB of RAM. Not exactly top of the range but hardly crap either is it. AoC runs very poorly for what it is, and it has some kind weird problems with graphics settings application.
