I can't believe it doesn't tell you on the OCUK home page what interface these cards are.

Are they PCI, PCI-e, or PCI-x?

How can you possible have an SLI + Ageia PhysX system if mobos only have a max of 2 PCI-e slots?

Cheers

Doesn't need to tell you on there, just click the Full Specification link on the product page, and bobs your uncle. :D

That would be hilarious if they made them PCI-E, SLi/Crossfire killied in one fell swoop. :D

Would be nice if they made them in both flavours. damn my shuttle :p

not that i'd buy one any time soon - just call me bitter :p

Apparently OcUK have been asked to stop selling them until game content becomes available.

Lol.

I wonder why they havent utilised the x16 PCI ports on the new Motherboards. I haven't seen one expansion card that uses these yet.

Advanced fighter is out in like a few weeks dude :p

Thats 1 then, they better get em back on sale quick smart then so we can all buy, buy buy, can't be missing spending £200+ for one game, were gona be kicking ourselves if we miss out, come on OcUK i wanna buy one now!!!. :D

So these physics cards only work on certain games? U mean I wouuldnt see any improvement in F.E.A.R. or COD2 for example?

rofl. not sure why you have a chip on ya sholder with the physx cards. they sack ya dad or something? :p
IggyStooge: The game has to be designed to utilise the card. Apparently this can be done via a patch, so maybe they will update some games that are already out - purely speculation though.

No there were some OEM cards available, the retail version has always (well since they went up) been pre-order.

Hi

Cant remember what site i read it on but RUMOURS say R600 DX10 card from ATi will have special GPU chip on-card that makes the PhysX not neccasary in the future ... will try history search to find the link

Would be surprised if they do that. ATI's die sizes have not been the best and moving to a unified architecture isnt meant to be the most simple of tasks.
I dont mind being surprised though ;)

edit: unless you mean the xfire being an additional phsyx chip instead... which seems a costly path.

Did anyone manage to get one of these while they were for sale?

Im sure some did, but if you want to know if they are any good, then they won't be able to tell you for a while as theres nothing using them. :)

Suppose they can say, well the fans spinning, don't konw if it works though as theres nowt for it, would'nt that be a ****** if they were sitting there with a faulty PhysX card in their machine, and no way of knowing until a few weeks time or whenever theres something that uses it.

Can just imagine it, 'right at last after 3x weeks ive got a game that i can finally try me PhysX card out on', 'I don't ******* believe it, its a duffer, and its been sitting in my comp for about 3 weeks' . :p

Don't you mean PCI x1 or x4 slots? Anyone else kind of annoyed these are on their mobos with nothing really to put in them? I have 2 x1 slots and 3 normal PCI slots. Thanks a lot, MSI.
