As an EU citizen and having lived and worked here for over 20 years, it is sad to see that I and my family are being shouted at to go home and leave the UK, though the majority of those where I live are fine with everything, it takes just a few to ruin things. Just a short time ago, my son was threatened with violence after the individuals heard his American accent, though my son is Swedish it is beyond belief that something like this is happening and that the possible use of violence is a very real problem. unfortunately, since the Brexit vote, there has been a growing problem with verbal abuse towards myself and my family and it has just about reached the point where it would make sense to just move away and be done with this mess, but having invested over 20 years of my life here and that of my family, such decisions are not so easily made and so here we remain, for now. My point? Just my frustration trying to understand the senseless acts of verbal abuse and/or threats of physical violence to anybody you happen to disagree with. OK, done.
