Anyone else still using agility 3?

Never really looked at benchmarks before, but after doing so seems my 120GB Agility 3 (about a year and a half old) seems to be a bit low, probably to be expected but just making sure

HD Tune 2.55:
Min: 84.1 MB/sec
Max: 378.4 MB/sec
Average: 188.8 MB/sec
Access time: 0.2 ms
Burst Rate: 250.7 MB/sec
CPU Usage -1.0%

(on the info screen it's got Standard: ATA/ATAPI-0 - SATA II however it's connected with SATA III?)

AS SSD
Seq: 194.09 MB/s -- 79.62 MB/s
4K: 16.15 MB/s -- 55.10 MB/s
4K-64Thrd: 84.43 MB/s -- 77.06 MB/s
Acc.time: 0.219 ms -- 0.287 ms
Score: 120 -- 140 -- 332

(running it twice results in significantly lower write speeds (seq down to 66.78 MB/s, 4K about same, 4k-64Thrd down to 67.43 MB/s resulting in write score down to 132 from 140)

I get similar seq write speed on a typical HDD lol

latest mb bios and ssd fw? latest intel rst drivers?

how full is the drive as that will affect scores if its nearly full, you could back up the data and secure erase the ssd and restore the data, tht will restore lost performance due to poor trim garbage collection ect

that drive also uses asynchronous nand where performance drops off as the drive fills up

^^ secure erase

35GB of the 111GB is free (so not really nearly full)

Would rather not erase, just wondering if it's typical performance of the drive of awfully slow and as to why it's showing SATA II standard when it's using SATA III?

Never updated the bios, agility 3 firmware is 2.22, never updated any intel drivers only really gfx, what even is rst? :p

intel rapid storage drivers(intel boards only) amd wont support them

they will improve speeds slightly over the standard Microsoft ones,

idk why its saying sata2,run atto benchmark and post a screenshot of the results n ill tell you if its sata2/3 speeds

Do I need to uninstall the microsoft ones or do they just overwrite?

Assume the one you linked me is the same as this? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows 7 *&DownloadType=

they just overwrite, try the ones off intel site, they appear to be newer(download the setup exe one)

speeds look ok to me,those are sata3 speeds

speeds look ok to me,the write speeds are a little low

heres my corsair force gt 60gb for comparison

only way would be to secure erase it,but its complicated if you havn't done it before

updating to latest firmware might help too,if theres a newer one out
