AGP Nvidia Fx5200 Upgrade

I wouldn't bother sinking more money on memory in that PC - he says it's limited to 1gig (perhaps only 2 slots?) and since he won't be playing on max settings he can probably get away with 1gig RAM.

7600GT would definitely be the upgrade I'd recommend - will give high fps in most titles up to around 1152x864.

Thanks for everyones help i put an order in for a 7600GS hopefully PSU will hold. Let you know wednesday when it arrives how i get on.

PS: i have a nice packard bell imedia 5095 for sale :D :D

well just had a look a similiar system - and you should be able to change the PSU for most standard PSUs aslong as they aren't any larger than normal...

infact its probably recommended as these 250watt FSPs are apparently quite failure prone (burst/leaky capacitors)

OEMs are always skimping and building the cheapest possible cookie cutter machines...so much for branded PSUs.
