AGP UPGRADE?

Depending on the system you have your 3D 05 score will go from around 3k to around 9k.
You will be in eye candy heaven.

Post your specs anyways.

Hi, sorry to jump in bloodlines thread, but this is exactly what I would be asking.

I'm woundering the same thing eg Is it worth me upgrading to the X1950pro AGP Graphics card?

I currently have......

Asus AV8 Deluxe Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3500 939 pin CPU
2Gb PC3200 DDR Corsair Twinx RAM
ATI X800 PRO GC

The reason I ask is because I dont know if the CPU, etc will hold the x1950pro back much. If this would be the case I'd rather wait and go with a new rig, but if I can get another 12-18 months out of this 1 with a new GC and a reasonable jump in performance I'd be a happy.

Thanx for any advice.

Most games put all the graphics effort on the card, so you'll see a bigger boost in the games than perhaps the benchmarks (3d mark) might show. Both will be a massive improvement.

I'm even considering it for my dad's athlon xp system :D

Personally i'd say your CPU is fine, But i think the best bet for you is to get a PCI-E mobo and the PCI-E version of this card as you have a socket 939, this will come out around the same price anyway!

The pci-e model will beat the agp one in some cases and will leave you ready for future upgrades!
