I have been getting quite a few BSOD recently. They usually occur when something to do with updates; windows A/V etc. It also occurs when the PC is idle; i come back to it after a while and it would have restarted with the "error report message".
Also with hard drives; like when using defrag / transferring files while browsing windows; This may be due to a ACHI/IDE conflict.
I installed windows 7 with AHCI enabled in BIOS but i don't think i have it enabled within windows. I installed the same drivers but when i look at the hard drive properties it only has the Microsoft 2006 driver; when it should be Intel right? How do i check if i have AHCI enabled and how can i get it working; I have the Asus P5Q Pro Turbo. Or would it be better to go to IDE mode; if so how should i do this; without reinstalling? Cheers
