Ahhh, second monitor flickering is back

So when I first got my 5850 there was a problem were overclocking the card would cause the memory timings to drop really low when idle and if you had 2 screens this would cause the second screen to flicker. Well ages ago in some driver release they changed it so idle memory timings were higher (which loads of people cried about) recently they've changed it so memory timings are lower again if you have only one screen attached. Well all of a sudden my second monitor has started flicking again today for no reason I can think of. I didn't update my drivers today, was fine yesterday but now my mem timing keep dipping down to 300 and causing my monitor to go all crazy.

Anyone else getting this? I've tried reinstalling drivers but it didn't help.

Gonna have to run it without the overclock for now. Will be going Nvidia next round, have had far too many annoying driver problems.

Sorry i cant offer any help but i too will br going nvidia. Maybe try driver sweeper and going back to the older drivers that did work

I am using afterburner and I have always had a 2D and 3D profile. It's just ignoring my 2D profile and putting the mem speed at 300 anyway =/

I know there is a file tweak you can do that forces constant timings but this causes issues.
