AI Section in forums

I also quite enjoy the idea/speculation that AI will only get worse from here, because it originally trained on actual human content, but as the AI slop reaches saturation, the new LLM models are being trained on AI slop

I think inevitably, the 'yooth' will have to adapt and learn to get the confidence to actually talk to each other again.... or we just completely cede matchmaking to algorithms and end up in a techno-feudal era where they don't interact at all and just pair up with who they're pointed to, which will almost immediately be pay-to-play (as dating apps already are).
Or further, we have our needs met by AI empowered robots and reproduction is synthetic... ****, we're done for as a species

In relation to coding.

People are linking into the models and sending their own codebases for context. Just look at the billions of tokens used on Openrouter.
Everyone is trusting it with their own codebases, there will be no shortage of code. No doubt more original code has already been uploaded to the big AI companies than the Stackoverflow website.

Emails from old colleagues & uni friends have been escalating recently - I was always their go-to proofreader. One positive aspect of my particular flavour of autism - I can spot every typo/syntax error on a page, at a glance. Like a hyper-nitpicking photographic memory (but only for ****-ups).
I definitely feel like the 'tism is a superpower at times... I'm not diagnosed, I've never pursued it, mainly because I've seen people judged negatively in some places I've worked.... but I had an ex with Asperges, another who was an advocate for learning disabilties who both said "No offence, but I think you're there" and a friend (who is diagnosed) laugh in my face when I said I'm 'maybe', followed by 'Nah, you definitely are' ... I'm pretty sure most of the people I work with are as well

My son was diagnosed at 4...
I was officially diagnosed at 42; my wife did a perfect demonstration of pretendstobeshocked.gif.

The label has never mattered to me, it just put much of my life into context; struggled to maintain friendships, don't experience emotions like neurotypicals (I'm a mirror - if someone I care about is upset, I get upset, otherwise I rarely display extremes of feelings). And I get task hyper fixation like a motherlover - whereas my ADHD Wife can multitask like a demon (but rarely finishing a single thing). We balance each other out nicely, most of the time

It’s called a spectrum for a reason - everyone is on it somewhere to some degree, much like sexuality :D

Does seem like you can wear your ism with pride on a CV now, coming out.

On the AI role in matchmaking yes back to ostracized arranged marriages .

I think you should do research before adding isms to your CV. Not all companies have boxes to tick anymore, it's getting abandoned.

don't forget the anodyne Amazon reviews.

children / genz already not confident to make phone calls/meet people, and using chatgpt to formulate social media replies ... and Starmers bought the snake-oil too.
rather read AI slop that the barely coherent nonsense you come out with

It continues to be hilarious how Starmer is living in your head rent free 24/7

New theory: @jpaul is actually an early version of ChatGPT accidentely released into OCUK an has been stuck here ever since, unable to leave the forum…

I prefer your AI dumpings when you use italics for no obvious reason and then

break

paragraphs like it's no big thing.

You're a Tesco Value AI but one all the same :hurr:

e: ignore - me and Penfold101 are getting it on and on like Donkey Kong xxx

Oh no- attack of those who need emojis to communicate - does chatgpt use them yet ?
the later chatgpt releases just don't do cynicism like the early releases.

italics : obviously there is a big polemic among yoot's about political use of punctuation marks and italics in writing I'm sorry if your sensibilities are offended.

Pretty sure he's a failed version and someone forgot to delete him. He's now evolving in to a digital magic 8 ball.

Spot the bamboozled neurotypicals?

A separate AI section is not necessary yet imo, but could one day if it turns out as much of a drama as COVID was.

AI is useful but it also still hallucinates a fair bit. I find it useful at breaking the back of a task or giving me a nudge but I don't rely on it. It's useful/helpful but it's not something I'd rely on or depend on.

Meanwhile spy chiefs worry about AI taking disinfo and radicalisation to new levels:

One can only imagine that might mean corrupted LLMs.

In this case if people are using and not questioning AI responses, the corrupt LLM can be used to radicalise susceptible individuals into real threats to people's health and country assets.

i just think its going to spawn a generation of dumbos who rely on it for simple things...

Well, don't want to sound like a dick or nothin', but, ah... it says on your chart that you're ****** up. You talk like a fag, and your ****'s all 'tarded. What I'd do, is just like... like... you know, like, you know what I mean, like...

But don't worry, scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.
