I've noticed over the last month my aim seems to be getting worse in Multiplayer games, both in Battlefield 2042 and Warzone. Yes there are a few people I've come across that are cheating ( I've been told they've been banned via in game Warzone ), however I'm getting more and more raged in games by my lack of aim and constant death. There's been multiple times now I've aimed at someone took the shot only for them to beam me instantly even when they have their backs to me! Yes I've missed completely at times too.

Most of the time I can be found at the top of the match with a high K/D and a good score, or in Warzone atleast 6-10 kills but now I'm struggling. Either I've got worse or I'm always being put into sweaty lobbies :p

Anyone else feel their aim has got worse over time?

I've tried adjusting mouse sensitivity for overshoot but meh :(

EDIT : Another thing which is odd, I seem to do better on the slower frame rate computer the GTX 980 than I do the over 100 frame rate system RTX

Could be your FPS, your ping/connection or you're just getting matched with "better" players. Maybe try some aim practice games/CS:GO maps.

My remedy for being bad at online FPS is I just stopped playing them, I'd rather just relax. If it's not fun there's no point, take a break. I've started playing Overwatch which can be chaotic but it's less about aim and more about strategy and the style & format is more relaxing that Warzone or Battlefield.

I think age has a part to play in it, I went through the same frustration and gave up in the end. Happier playing single player games these days, more relaxing. I do miss online FPS but I've binned the PC off now and gone console and I'm not playing comptetive FPS with a pad, maybe I'll give it a try at some point to see how it is.

Practice more
Stop getting old

Unfortunately I'm the same, although strangely it's the slower paced games like PUBG and Warzone that I suck at these days, give me an arena shooter like UT and I can still hold my own (after a warm up, and as long as I have my pipe and slippers)

That's the thing I was never "BAD" at Online FPS up until the last couple of months! :(:(

In all seriousness, the bad news is that it probably is age related - BR games like Warzone etc. are very much reaction based - whoever spots the enemy first tends to win a shootout. If I manage to get the drop on someone, or survive the initial encounter, I often come out of it pretty well, but otherwise I generally come off worse - this is probably why I do OK in arena shooters, because they are more about accuracy and movement/dodging rather than just getting the first couple of shots in.

100% age, my aim has deteriorated as I'm getting greyer.

Agreed, age definitely a factor, not so much with my aim, thats still fine but my reaction speeds and ability to turn on the spot and laser someone has gone

I like to blame age in CSGO. That and lack of sleep etc from kids as well as simply not being able to grind a 30 minute warmup session before playing because that's 1/4 of my play time gone

My main problem is reaction times though. My brain says "shoot" but my hand says "wut?"

Have you always jumped between games? If I play another FPS even a single player game and then go back to PUBG online my aim is all over the place. I just get used to the other games sensitivity and recoil etc

Yep :D - At night I sometimes switch between Battlefield 2042 and Warzone depending on who's playing.

Im 50 and still have pretty decent aim, i used to play DOD at a high level but for sure im not at that level anymore but still hold my own.
I find mouse quality to be a massive help, i see people go on about the logitech G502 being a great mouse, i thought so too until i tried on of those ultra light ultra precise yokes and wow its a game changer.
Im using the Glorious Model O- and the G502 feels like a rock compared to it.

Played CS:Source from 2005-08, took a 12 year break and came back to CS:GO over covid. I've put in a fair few hours since the return. I think the average player has improved but generally I'm just nowhere near as a sharp.

It's age my friend. Maybe you aged overnight.
