Aimbot warning BF2 related.

If we could we would, but how do you tell a really good player from a player using an aimbot? It IS impossible to tell the difference. The only way to tell is to join the game on the suspects team and watch them through 3rd person view....and even then it is up to the admin in question to judge whether the player is very good or is using a bot.
 
whether or not this has actually been said but i would reccomend you raise a support ticket showing these aimbots to punk buster, my clan had one emailed ages ago and we emailed it to them the video, cheating scum those people are, theres no skill in cheating

Hehe, the one good thing about EA and PunkBuster is that they don't just ban CD keys, they do hardware bans too. If you get hardware banned by EA, you can't play any more of their games online with the same PC.

Can be a real bummer if you bought banned second hand hardware.

the thing that gets up my noise more than genuine cheats, it's the guardians of fair play who think it gives them the right to go around abusing folk they suspect.. folk who are often not cheating. one starts and then others tend to chip in much like we can see going on here with this scum calling.

i dare say malc has experianced some of that side too.. i know many people here have done.

With my time logged i dare say i have experienced most things concerning BF2.
I didn't want to debate the email myself just get it out there. The cheat debate has been done to death.
It's fair to say that Oc members are against genuine cheats but it's also fair to say that Oc is full of Quality online players which odviously get accussed unfairly of cheating. That's gaming.
The post is up there for all to see i trust the judgement of Most on here to take it as meant.
If there is genuine cheating going on it should be exposed.
Other genuine gamers publicly bad mouthing genuine cheats should be welcomed i feel. After all cheating IS despicable.
 
you don't have to bad mouth if you have reason on your side.. anyhow some do it just for that very reaction, like years ago some folk used to key down on their CB with a burner (booster) so people on that channel lost the ability to receive.. they did nothing but that, just to wind folk up.

who brought out the first wall hack, Asus wasn't it? just who makes these cheats, some hacker group or industrial, perhaps self sabotage? i mean they don't want you playing their old games too long not when they have lots of new games.. just like gameplay borked the q2 league servers because they felt we should be playing q3.
 
So because i can actually aim whilst playing spec ops and regularly get 5+ kills in swift succession... then aim at a wall near the edge to see around a corner (its called not exposing yourself for no reason) im going to be blamed for cheating ........ fun

We have recieved reports that numerous members of the community have recieved an email containing information pertaining to existence of an aimbot and other hacks. The email should have included a few links to video that try to support their claim.

We quickly got in touch with Glenn from EvenBalance and recieved the following response:
... it's nothing new. It's the same MSX that's been out for a
little bit now ...​
So, it looks like this was just a hoax.

It's also worth mentioning that BF2S.com was in no way involved in this email. I personally recieved an email address to an email that is not signed up at BF2S.com, so their user data has not been compromised.

there are cheats and Hax that can circumvent Punkbuster that work online.
unfortunately all online games have these idiots and bf2 is no different.
you dont have to search the net hard to find hax's for bf2 that even cost $5 to download.

like others ive a fair amount of hrs on bf2 300+ and have yet to actually meet any low life cheaters, altho ive had suspicious encounters.

if they want to use hax/cheats/stat padd exploits let them, ill find a different server and carry on having fun with m8s.

id be more than happy for EA to get rid of the whole Global waste of time 'points and medals' , i dont need a e-penis .
 
Hardware bans are totally ineffective now. There are patches/tools to get around them, which involve spoofing your hardware. You don't even need to pay for some. :o

While PB has managed to detect a decent amount of hacks, it is always one step behind the programmers of new ones. Half decent active admins are much better than PB can ever hope to be. I don't know why they bother sometimes.


Have any of you actually read the license for PB? You basically agree to let them rape your privacy. :p
