So playing this yesterday and was like wtf, I'm being shot through walls. Little investigation and saw people use aimbots and essentially cheat.

Does anyone know any COD 4 servers where they are picked up and auto kicked as it renders the game pointless.

At least with consoles did not have this garbage all bar the modded xb360 controller.

It's a game of cat and mouse. The developers of game hacks are usually one step ahead of the anti-hack folks.

there is no longer support for cod 4 and pb.

well run admin servers will boot aimbots but you cant stop em totally. just like in any other fps title like bf4 or the like.

Loads of PC CoD 4 servers have PB and B3 enabled with Admins usually on. I'm also an Admin on the very popular AR51 servers so have a look for those in the server list, there's usually always an admin on.

CoD4 on the Xbox & PS3 have been full of cheaters for years, worse than the PC. I'm not sure how you got the idea that consoles didn't have this.

Yep AR51 seem to attract the them this was the reason for OP.

What other UK servers are there? This game used to be awesome on the XB360 and only picked up COD4 yesterday to relive those days, but being let down by cheaters.

Please help

Omg dont me started on aimbots. I was playing battlefield 4 other night and this guy was using crappy 9mm gun shouting though 2 walls and still getting head shouts on me and other I was raging!!!

Takes the way all the fun knowing you will win.

Couldn't use one personally, like you say, takes away the fun....

So you reach the very top of all levels, rankings etc.... Then what? It means nothing because there's no skill involved.

Hopefully they'll eliminate them one day!

Can't comment on the specifics of COD4 but I disagree with the idea that there is no skill involved using an aimbot in general. In most games a skilled player with an aimbot will be massively more effective than an unskilled player with an aimbot because they move better, dodge better, run items better (if applicable), choose weapon more wisely etc

Regardless, it's cheating and they should be banned completely. There's no justification, someone running a aimbot is a lot less skilled than any other player.

LOL I don't think I have ever seen you post such a stupid post in all my time on OcUK....

You can get a total noob with a noob gun, hit a button to aim at all the other side and kill them all, no matter if they are new or not they will get the most kills overall.

The point I am making is that if there is no skill involved, then a skilled player with an aimbot would be no better than an unskilled player with an aimbot. That definitely isn't true, at least in the games I have experience with. One can't always assume that a player using an aimbot is unskilled, and skills are about more than just aim in FPS.
edit: I've also seen unskilled players with aimbots being beaten by skilled players without an aimbot, although that depends heavily on the game and indeed gamemode/map etc (i.e. if the game has easily accessible hitscan weapons of reasonable power and large open spaces, then the aimbot player is more likely to win).

I used to find it quite satisfying (and yes, occasionally frustrating) competing against aimbots if it was on a map where you could play smart, you'd have spectators cheering you on and stuff :)

If you are using an aimbot you have no skill so the argument doesn't hold. The aimbot takes away any need for skill thats the whole point.

I disagree. Using an aimbot and having skill are two unrelated variables. A skilled player may or may not use an aimbot. An unskilled player may or may not use an aimbot. The fact that a skilled player using an aimbot typically beats an unskilled player using an aimbot just serves to illustrate that use of an aimbot does not completely remove skill from the equation.

An aimbot vastly reduces (and in some cases eliminates) the need for aim, but not skill in general (unless the game concerned is 100% aim based, which isn't the sort of game that would appeal to me anyway and the vast majority of FPS have other skills as well).

Here's an unskilled player hacking with an aim bot (our very own 86JR). No real skill needed when the computer is aiming for you. Who cares if someone is 'skilled' or not if they are cheating?

It might be an uncomfortable truth for those of us who don't cheat but this is pretty much spot on. It's like WarZ/Infestation which is riddled with cheaters and has become so bad since Punkbuster got removed the meta game is now basically cheat vs cheat. The skilled cheaters play and kill lots of people while appearing legit to the ingame anti-cheat Fairight while the unskilled get insta-banned. This is the meta game in WarZ now. Sad but true
