Ainol Novo7 Elf budget tablet

One is Andoid one is Blackberry OS... "which is faster" is probably the last question that should be on your mind. Either way the Playbook is of course higher spec, as a look at the product pages would tell ya.

Yeah I realise they are different o/s but my reasoning was behind the Android App player coming to the PB would give it similar functionality. Key apps I would like to access would be the Synology range of apps (particularly DS Cam) and Sonos. If there was any likelihood of the PB running these when the OS2.0 is out then I would prefer that one.

Almost got one of these off Ebay but went with the PlayBook instead, was concerned that if anything went wrong with the device there would be no support or if there was you would have to send it back to China and it would take 2 months to get back if at all.

Very happy with the Playbook and hopefully will be able to run a lot of Android apps soon when the update comes out end of feb.

For a budget Android ICS this does look nice, just lack of support was to worrying for me!

Em3bbs did yours come with a uk power adaptor? As wondering if I'd have yo buy a uk charger if I ordered one

Came with a US one, but was supplied with an adapter. You can also charge via a mini USB connector, although that only draws 500mAh maximum compared to 2 amps from the proper charger (which has it's own socket) so takes longer.

you sure it's not the Mali-400, i.e. without the MP.

The SOC used is called the Allwinner A10:

Supposedly it is meant to use the MALI400 MP:

Of course it could be a typo,so maybe the OP could check their tablet??

My Aurora arrived today.

Screen is very good, though obviously cannot compare to my SGS2, but then coming in well under half the cost of a Galaxy Tab 7.7, it's more than acceptable.

Stock ICS runs like a dog though, so this evening will be about flashing and scripts to get the most out of the hardware.

£150 altogether for priority post and a 2 year SquareTrade warranty, and I am very happy with it. Does the comic and video thing just as I wanted.

I just flashed mine with the Essential Clean Rom (0.4), and it gave me root and access to the new market.

Was really simple too, just downloaded the image file, and the LiveSuite software, follow the instructions on GadgetFreakz and it was done in like 5 minutes.

I might do some screen comparisons tonight between it, SGS2, Desire, Panny S20 plasma and Iiyama TN monitor.
