AIO for 5800X3D

I'm moving away from a custom loop due to the size of the latest gpus and not really needing it these days.

I'm looking for an AIO for my 5800x3d that will also work with 9800x3d if I upgrade.

My case is a Phanteks Evolv, so can take up to a 280mm at the top or 420mm radiator at the front.

I'm looking for one that's quiet but still performs well. The Arctic III looks good, but I've read it's noisy?

I'm assuming a 240/280mm will be fine for this too?

I have a Arctic III 360mm and find it very quiet, even under load it does not get that loud. Just need to set a fan curve to stop the fans spinning up to fast.

If you are roof mounting, maybe avoid the 280mm as with it having a very thick radiator it may not clear the top of the motherboard.

Also check motherboard compatibility.

Thanks, my board is compatible, so OK there.
the pump run silly fast and can make some noise, but if you use the splitter cable and not the all in one you can set the pump to about 50% and its silent
I'm not sure what you mean with this?

the pump comes with 2 cables, one condrols everting at the same PWM pump, pump fan(vrm) and the rad fans.
and the second cable as 3 fan headers so you can run the pump at 50% the vrm fan at whatever 60% and the rad fans again at a different speed.

so when the CPU get hot and the rad fans spin up the pump will also spin up if you use the single cable

the pump fixed at 50% is the same speed at the AC2 pump at full speed and easily keeps my 13900k very cool

Even if you fit an artic freezer at the front
Still have to be careful about the extra thickness of the rad
Will depend on the pc case
And how long the gpu is
My stepsons last build we had to get a 15mm thick fan
And replace the middle rad fan because of this

I'll double check the measurements as the Pulse 9070xt is quite long too.

I'm also looking at the Corsair H150i 360. This seems to be quieter and better cooling than the Arctic?

thats the new cooler i just got, and its 100% not cooler or quieter, but i would say its on par.
what case do you have?

Phanteks Evolv. Can fit a 280mm at the top or 420mm at front. Old rads with fans were 70mm thick. No problems with space and the new card.

Why did you replace the Arctic out of interest?

i got a thermalright vision as i wanted RGB and LCD, that coolers software conflated with software i have installed so i ended up grabbing an h150i elite complex.
all 3 cooler cooled about the same, i would say the thermalright was the best but i put that down to new paste and a fresh mount.

for the CPU you have with a -20 offset any AIO would be fine from 240mm up. just buy what fits your budget and the look your going for.
but as also said a PA120 air cooler for £30 will do just fine with your CPU

the AM4 X3D chips are very easy to cool, my old 5700x3d just didnt pass 50c with a h150i and the same with the AC2 both 360mm.
but my son as a PA120 and again 60 is the top ish he see's

also a plus for the h150i is you can set the fans to follow the coolant temp keeping them very quiet with a CPU like yours
Yeah, and it's quiet I'm after I had 5 x 140mm fans in my old loop, but they were running so low you couldn't hear them.

I also like the look of the Be Quiet Pure Loop 280. It seems to be the quietest around and cools well too.

I have the - 20 offset on the cpu and will likely get a 9800x3d at some point so that should also do the job.

Didn't realise AIO would be such a minefield

TBF there all about the same now days for a 5800x3d and a 9800x3d your never going to have a problem

this is a very good cooler and there is a few variant's out there from £80 to about £150. it did look very good but im running L-Connect for my fans and they just didnt play nice together and im not about to start replacing £250's worth of fans

the fans move sone air at low RPM's was very good, just not for my use case, for your CPU you could fix them at 800rpm and never hear the thing running

I'm using Corsair H100i ELITE LCD XT - 240mm on my 5800X3D and gaming last summer it was sat at 55c max, while it was toasty weather wise. It gets the job done.

This is what i don't understand.

I use the all in one cable and can't hear the pump at all. (PC is under my desk though, so that may be why)

set the pump to 100%

this may no affect all the ACiii's but there was a lot of returns because of pump noise, just look on youtube. there where i found to use the other cable and set speed.
