Morning all,

The AC in me Honda appears to be having some issues.. In that it doesn't work. Tried to use it yesterday to demist and it didn't do bugger all, and I can't hear or feel the pump engaging :( I don't think it was due to the outside temperature, because it wasn't freezing yesterday, just wet. It's hard to tell whether it's blowing cold in this current climate, too!

Anything I can check/do (Fuses I'll check) before handing it over to someone to fix?

Cheers

My CTR has been like this for ages. I beleive that if my system has no pressure the pump won't engage, so either you have a leak or it needs re-gassing.

I really should get round to re-gassing/leak testing but I can't be bothered.

My AC was faulty when I bought my current car (so much for the xx point checks).
Initially diagnosed as needing a re-gas it actually turned out to be a faulty compressor.
Everything was engaging and then immediately degaging.

With any kind of luck it'll just need some gas.
A new compressor would have set me back around £800 and then the labour on top...

Thanks guys :) Let's hope my compressor isn't knackered... If it is I'll have to shell out I guess.. I can't live without AC in the summer :p

Well I had it regassed but that wasn't the problem :( garage want me to take it back tomorrow to get it looked at. Guess I don't really have a choice.. I have a Honda workshop manual but it's all a bit complicated! Could be dodgy wiring, switch, sensor, anything.
