cooling your gpu via water cooling is not needed yet, unless you are running a full custom loop... just get a good air cooler...

more can go wrong with water cooling, even hydro kits... i.e. still get leaks, pump can die... and you still need fans to cool the radiator

for cpu cooling, yes get the h100i, its an outstanding hydro cooler, but air is a safer bet in the long run as only the fan can die and they are cheap to replace

thats better.. the asus cooler is awesome as well...

can i ask why your getting black extensions... surely you want a different colour to offset the case... or don't you have a side window on your case?

Plus isn't your psu cables already sleeved??? could save a bit of money on them extensions

I would never use water cooling as it doesn't really offer any better results than air plus you do have the risk of leaks. The only advantage I see or hear is noise.

I use a noctua nh-d14 at the moment the d-15 is supposed to be better and the d14 is a great cooler.

i upgraded from an arctic freezer pro 7 rev 2 to my cooler master seidon 120m and saw instant cooling performance improvements... my fx chip needs it lol... pumps out more heat than my cat

Blue and blue/black were out of stock so got the black ones for now. Have a second rig they can go into at a later date. Wanted to get everything cabled, mounted etc in one evening, no patience I know :)

I have an old ThermalTake TruPower 1000w PSU (no braided cables), a bit long in the tooth now and is probably the last component I will switch out. Looking at the EVGA SuperNova G2 750W.

Well all components are installed. The H105 standard fans are rather noisy at 100% but reducing them to 20% and running the Intel torture test takes all 4 cores up to 58c at 100% load.

No idea if that is good or not :)

Three SP120s are running at 40%, it's not silent but it never gets any louder when playing BF3 etc :)

Currently at 4.2ghz still, didn't try an aggressive overclock. Chip has reached 4.7ghz before now but I lost the settings :(

GPU is boosting up to 1300mhz

The nice thing is the rig has consistent sound rather than fans ramping up and down. Will have a further play and will look at the new Corsair Link Commander as it tucks away and is out of sight.

Changed the stock H105 fans for SP120 HP QE PWMs and added in a Corsair Link Mini Commander today. CPU does not go above 58c in the Intel stress test H105 fans will spin up to 1,000rpm and are still silent. Three front SP120 HP QE fans are fixed at 500rpm and the rear AF140 is on the 12v to 7v step down.

Loudest thing in the case is the pump on the H105 and that is running the GPU-Z stress test with the GTX 970 Strix fans spun up.

Absolutely fantastic result, to the point when browsing the net the rig is silent :)

thats cool... my system is quite loud because of the aerocool shark led fans I have on the side of my corsair 200r... but when I am constantly gaming or listening to music when its turned on, you cannot hear them xD
