They actually have cut outs for the ram but you do need to raise the front fan a couple of cm's to clear tall memory but from what I can see with mine it doesn't affect temps at all.
My issue with the Thermalright coolers is they seem to block ram, my ram is over 50mm in height so I'm limited.
50mm is high ram.
You could say the same for ram… some ram is so high it blocks coolers.
Anyway, why OCUK doesn’t sell Thermalright coolers?
There’s a single tower, if you look careful, which should be Thermalright’s answer to Noctua NH-U12A. Slightly less performance than Peerless Assassin, but none of the compatibility issues. Was 36ish quid on rainforest.
Thermalright U120EX REV.4
Could well be the answer.
Thanks.
Pretty much all hsf's that are decent do this, and 50mm is ridiculous, is it all tarty rgb I'm guessing? My issue with the Thermalright coolers is they seem to block ram, my ram is over 50mm in height so I'm limited.
And usually a posh cooler, and the savings of going air over look at me watercooling no one cares about with rgb blinding you in the face on your desk, is also a major bonus in the wallet, as it allows you to spend money on better hardware in generalIf you have rgb ram and then you put a cooler over it… for the same cost of rgb you can buy some actually fast ram
5800x3DWhat cpu? I have the single tower on a 6700k is it’s good but I feel it would be over power fast with something like in new i7 or Ryzen 7000
Yep, listed in my sig... It's one of the tallest I think.Pretty much all hsf's that are decent do this, and 50mm is ridiculous, is it all tarty rgb I'm guessing?
I'd take my 31mm low profile corsair over rgb along with the freedom to have any hsf and a near silent air cooled pc, personally.
For how little ram costs I'd just sell yours and get your freedom back hsf wise?

I second this having the PA120SE, you can move either fan to wherever you want with the clips.Like I said earlier in this thread:-
It's actually not the cooler itself that get's in the way, it's the fan. The cooler actually has cutouts for tall memory and it sits away from all four memory slots (on my board) anyway. There is nothing to stop you mounting the first fan to the rear of the front tower and the second fan to the rear of the rear tower. That way you will also be cooling the memory.

In a pull/pull config?
