Hey there, just ordered Airplane! + airplane the sequal for a nice little sum of £5.99 ( it was going to be £11 just for the first one on its own lol :confused: )

I have never seen either of these films but i have heard nothing but good things about the first one (not heard anything about the second)

What am i to expect?
 
You have been missing out, Airplane is a cracking film. Never seen the second one though, although I've ordered it (from the same site as you I believe)

the second one isnt as good - but still had me in stitches
 
Airplane! is one of the funniest films I've ever seen. None of it is very highbrow but the silly gags are excellent. Leslie Nielsen's deadpan is so good in it he ended up getting typecast with the role he had in the film.

i have the naked gun 1/2/3 on order for £6.99 but they are out of stock and got bored of waiting so canceled :(
 
I have it and I do like it, but I was a little dissapointed personally. I watched the Naked gun films before it and had heard Airplane! was better, but found it worse myself. I think the limited locations (ie, mostly on a plane) put me off a bit and I find it a bit harder to stay with than the Naked gun films if you get me (less involving?). Anyhow, still a great film, enjoy :D
 
I got the same set a while back on a 3 for £15 offer (with 10% student discount ;)). They're a similar type of humour to the Hot Shots movies - rediculously stupid and simplistic, but oh so funny.

Thanks for the tip (I think). Unfortunately £5.99 somehow became £44 at the checkout.

Now anyone know where I can get some willpower cheap?

Worst thing ever is if i come home drunk and decide it's a good idea to browse said websites for bargains...

I wake up with 10+ order confirmation e-mails and crippling overdraft. :p

Yeah, needs watched at least 3 times just to get half of them. Huge numbers of visual gags too - the smoking ticket and the Rocky 23 poster to name two.
