Airport Extreme as repeater from BT business hub

Is it possible to have a AirPort Extreme operate as a wireless repeater without having to be connected to the main router physically?

I have an ADSL modem connected via CAT6 to an AEBS and use that as the access point without issue.

I know an Apple AirPort Express can repeat the AEBS signal, but not sure about the business hub.

Yeah it seems that if you want anything to be repeated you have to buy both apple products. Pretty awful really.
