Right, when I bought my airsoft gun the other week it was not very accurate. That is to say it was less accurate than my pistol, so I wasn't really happy with it.

So, I have been down to B&Q and bought some aluminium tubing to replace the existing (short, 5-6") barrel with a much longer one (13-14") which is now fine and doesn't jam BBs anymore.

Trouble is, the range and power has dropped massively from about 15-20m to <5m. How can I bring the power back up without:

A) Spending too much
and
B) Swapping the barrel back and decreasing accuracy?

You should have bought a Webley Exocet in the first place, awesome bits of kit. ;) Anyway, what make/model is it? Spring or gas? Maybe getting a bigger spring would help?

It's a BOYI M4A1 RIS AEG view here. Yes it cost me £33 or whatever, but I didn't like the idea of spending £150+ on something I'll rarely use.

When replacing the spring, will I need a better motor too?

Ok nevermind what I said, I misread your post, I completely managed to ignore the "airsoft" bit and assumed you were meaning air rifle. :o The only thing I know about airsoft is that I have a mini electric MP5 that cost me 25 quid and its funny as hell when you shoot people with it.

Are these cheap £39 AEGs any good, compared to something from CA or TM?

Also, could a Don move this into GD, might get more replies there?

My friend has an MP5 which is very nice, and mine was good until I took it apart :p They're not as accurate, powerful or well built as TM or CA ones but they're very good for the price, just avoid AKs.

Wasn't sure where to put it, but I thought it would be more relevant to SA what with airsoft being a sport and all.

I still need help identifying the easiest and cheapest way to increase the power, last night I thought that a new piston would fix it, but I'm not an expert.

completly off topic but this is the 1st time ive seen you around karbon in a hell of a long time
