Airstream a100

Hi

Got an airstream a100 from richer sounds. Really good. Also about some monitor audio speaker with it

Issue is I get a loads of crackling. I've tried some old speakers. New cable. Different sources etc. And it all ends up the same

Sometimes it works. Then it goes funny. No matter how low the volume. The sound ends up being distorted and crackly

Can anyone advise before I take it back? When I tested in the shop with the exact same device it worked fine !

I have the A100 too and I don't think I have this problem.

Have you tried may be connecting your power to a different wall socket etc? Also I've read that Powerline (network) adapter can cause problem receiver/amp...don't suppose you are using any Powerline adapter by any chance?

You're my hero!! plugged it into it own socket. problem fixed. was ready to smash it

Glad to hear it is sorted.

The A100 is a very decent piece of kit at the EOL price. I even have the line-out hooked up to a subwoofer

Nice to see this fixed. I find mine great, with the only problem I've ever had being the amp blowing its own fuse when I dropped something heavy close to it!

We also have the same sound card (STX). :cool:
