For anyone considering this case, mine arrived this morning and i cannot, i really mean this i cannot sing its praises enough. Firstly i got it out of the box, and the finish on the case and the motherboard try and wounderful. The build quility of this case is something else. I love it - and i know anyone else whos thinking about buying one will. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, bad camera and i accedently resized them way to small :( Next on my list is some nice 120mm fans and a window side panel i think

I have this case too but unfortuentely I don't have a mobo yet, still waiting on it. have everything else. A little word of caution, if you fix the 120mm fans straight to the case then the resonation is noticeable. I'm using acousti fan mounts but I'm sure blu tack or something can do the trick. As for the case, I like it a lot cos of the removable mobo tray and all the panels come off, I have the windo side panel and it is awesome looking.

Bluetack is far too hard and will just transfere the vibrations. The soft rubber mounts which im assuming are the same as you are using are the best method as they totally decouple the fan from the case.

had the case + an akasa fan controller for ages and its a great case :) recently fitted two scythe 120s to it, the front with those rubber thingys and the rear with normal screws and they both sound the same.

Agree that this case is excellent.... definitely the best case i've ever built into. Wouldn't agree with the fan isue though, I think that if you can screw them in tight enough, you don't get any vibration.....

The only thing I would criticise is the Akasa Pro Side Panel with the 120mm fan... The Panel isn't entirely square and not a great fit to the case at all, i've had to do a little bending and playing around just to get it to look right and unless you screw the panel in ridiculously tight then it can create annoying vibration noises!

Yeap still the best case out there atm imo, sure theres better look ones but overall and features/space the Akasas hard to knock.

Theres still that golden wish list that Akasa ignor.

We need a better looking Front...

We need it in Silver Alu

Sound dampening panels/or accoustic foam around all panels.

I have yet too see a Akasa 62 beater yet ! if I were building a new Pc would still have to get the same case again.

Really wanting to get my hands on one of these! Just waiting for my bank account to look a little healthier and then i'll go for it!

Also, allllec, can't tell whether it is a q-tec from your pics, but, the power supply you have looks suspiciously shiny and gold just like those well known PC killers! I'd recommend an upgrade if it is! ;)

gt

your right it is a q-tec, noisey, hot, ugly, and a famous pc killer as you said. Unfortuently cant do anything about it. No cash, just gotta wait till i get my new computer next year :| o well

Know just what you mean! I'm waitin till i've got enough to get your case!!!

Jus wanted to warn you if you didn't already know!

Incidentally, got an enermax 460watt psu off the bay for £20 delivered! If you can stretch even near that it'd be worth it! Wouldn't want your pride and joy goin up in smoke!

Looks really good! Bet you're real chuffed with it!

gt

chuffed is an under statement. hehe, yeah i must admit i despise this PSU, but disturbingly its lasted a long time and the rails are totaly stable and what not. I just down graded cpu (to free up some cash) and i may be tempted to use the money gained to buy something like that psu if i saw it on the bay cheap or anything

We will see, Ta for the advice thou must admit was only recently i learned of Q-Tecs erm, well the lack of trust in their psu's hehe

Great case, with great functionality but PLASTIC FRONT?? WHY OH WHY?
yeah
a sheet metal front without any fancy stuff would have rounded the whole thing off nicly!

I recently got one of these and love it to bits. It may not be the prettiest case in the world (I agree with the plasticky front comments) but it's soooooo roomy and with a couple of 120mm Ambers fitted, I hardly know it's switched on

Cooling is excellent too due to space and airflow.

Stan :)

Its damned tough plastic though! I really love this case, even the front! Th fact that you can even remove the roof of the case to get the psu in, and slide the mobo tray riiiiight out and in again, ridiculously easy to use! :D Love it.

My only complaint about this case is the fans... after about a year and a half my amber 120's are starting to sound loud.
It's a great case. I haven't looked back since I bought it. :)

i heard that those fans do that after a time, ^,^ went on *** bay and orderd me some yate loons instead, just waiting for them to arrive, tbh considering there £1.70ish each i dont mind if they only equal the ambers!

what would you say are the current best case fans to use?
120mm jobbies, papst, or those ambers?
