A mate has just bought an Akasa AK-FC-06BK which is a 3 dial thing that fits in the floppy bay to control the fans in a pc. It's all well and good but it doesn't appear to work, he powers on the PC and nothing happens when he turns the dials and the fans stay off. He tells me it's all plugged in.

Does anybody have one and know what he might be doing wrong?

Cheers.

I've installed an akasa fan controller a year or so ago for a friend, not sure if its this exact model. I do remember the wiring being a bit of a headache but that might of just been the config as we were trying to control bout 5 fans and a couple of lights.

I would say its probably going to be power related, make sure the molex is in properly, might be a faulty product or faulty connector

I think that my mate's problem is that he is unsing the standard fans that came with his Soprano case, which it appears they only have one wire for power, which I guess the mobo is fine with but the controller needs the ground and the earth.

He's going to order some new fans and see if he can get it working.
