AKASA fan filter problems

I fitted one of these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-022-AK between my Akasa Viper 140mm side intake fan and my cooler master cm690ii.

However when the computer powers on, the fan spins up and starts hitting the filter...and then comes to a stop.

what am i doing wrong?

can you not put it on the outside of the mesh? there is no support to the middle of the mesh, so im thinking the fan is sucking and bending it towards itself

Just put it on the other side of to fan and it won't catch on the blades. Means your fan will get dusty but at least the rest of you pc won't!
