ive been reading a lot of alan ginsbergs poetry, just wondering if anyone knew of someone whos of a similar mind? or simply put another decent beat poet?

Not heard of him, but will read a few poems.

I suggest you take a look at Rives... a modern poet who I really admire. He can be both funny and serious at the same time.

Woa, 'Howl' is one hell of a long poem. I read a bit, but need to understand the context more. Reading 'America'.

I'm not sure if you could describe him as a beat poet but you might like Federico Garcia Lorca. City That Does Not Sleep isn't entirely dissimilar to Howl.
