Alan Wake - 5 Minutes of Gameplay

I want to watch it, but I don't want to spoil it for myself.

Looks good from the 1 minute I forced myself to watch. Anyone know the release date?

Luigis mansion crossed with Alone in the Dark YAY! (only joking)
The lighting looks great in the video, still not 100% sold on the whole game though, does look good, would have looked fantastic on a PC though :(

Well that looks a bit good! Very well produced (it should be...) the main theme sounds great too so hopefully it'll have an impressive score.

Wow that game actually looks amazing. It's dripping with atmosphere and the combat itself looks unique.

Looks good I suppose. Can't help but try and find anything negative I can though, purely because I don't (and never will) have a 360.

Or you could just leave that attitude back in 2005 where it belongs, and ignore the game altogether?

It looks very interesting. I'm not usually one for the whole horror thing, but it does look very atmospheric and I like the use of light for combat in the trailer (and several others). It's also very impressive graphically for a 360 game, but we were expecting that anyway. If nothing else I'll definitely give it a rent.

This looks very interersting indeed, hopefully as it's now a 360 exclusive it'll be optimized to the nth degree and play very well, looks visually impressive and at least a steady 30+ fps in that video. :)

Sorry, but I have to give you a major  for that!

Don't feed the troll :D It's not worth it.

I have to agree re: the graphics. I've recently (just yesterday) bought a 360 (for Forza 3 and for me and the GF to play on) and it's suddenly seeming like an even more fantastic idea :D

Silent hill with a makeover!!! :D

Looking forward to this, I love survival horror, I love silent hill, And this looks very much like a distant cousin. Day 1 purchase for me

Looks good except for the screen tearing  they really should stop that **** nowadays its 2010 so why can they not eliminate it as it looks even worse on a large HDTV. This looks like a 60FPS game from that video with the screen tearing when it cannot handle the onscreen detail so drops down to 45 or 30 FPS :( Way to ruin the atmosphere when the screen tears like that!!

If it's all 1 big open world with minimal on the fly loading/streaming so you do not notice then that's impressive & will shift more X360's but Fuel had an impressive openworld game engine & did not sell well due to poor gameplay/marketing.

Alan Wake cannot possibly live up to all the expectation & years of hype (it was shown in 2006 by Intel as a PC Quadcore showcase & looked much better than the 360 version obviously but MS cancelled it to finish the 360 version off).

Watched the first few minutes and i got to say it really does look like it will live up to my expectations i remember seeing a trailer years ago and i was like WOW :D
Just gutted that they panned the pc version , my pc is really screaming at me to be used for games since crysis :(
The extra power would have come in handy , and with the pc supporting 360 pads it just like having overpowered 360 with all the eye candy :D

Counting down the days , i wont be pre ordering i want to make sure i get down the games shop to get it release date .

Looks really good, just a shame its not out for PC as its not worth me buying a 360 just for this. Might rent it and borrow my brothers console though.
