Anyone else like this game? I am probably halfway through chapter 4 on hard and am LOVING it!

Think I like it for the story, as I do most games. If they have a good story, I really enjoy the game.

I liked it but the story was confusing as hell. I'm hoping it gets a PC port too because more people need to play it.

I felt I was a bit let down by how linear the game is and also how repetitive the fighting is. It all gets too predictable as to what's going to happen with enemies.

I'm not going to spoil it, as OP obviously hasn't finished, but I thought the final boss fight was a bit of an anti-climax and not a proper fight. Also not too sure what to think of the ending, but it's clearly sequel material.

It's got good writing though and it's certainly worth a play through. I actually rented it though, as it's quite quick to get through... think I'd be disappointed if I'd bought it.

Cracking game with a great story, characters and some memorable set pieces. Really draws you in and also pretty spooky if played in the right conditions.

5.1 sound, no lights... Pretty creepy on your own yes lol.

I can see what you guys are on about with the repetitiveness, but the story is whats keeping me in, if it had a cack story, I would have put the game down a while ago :D

Enjoyed it here. The combat was a bit too repetetive (too little variation in enemies), but it had a lot of atmosphere. Visually impressive as well, with some fantastic looking scenery in places.

So, today is my chance to complete it then I can move onto either Singularity or Transformers WFC, the latter will probably be my choice.

The combat gets a bit repetitive yes however it's still good fun and what I really enjoyed about the game was the story. It is also quite creepy in places.
The voice acting and sounds are superb as well.

I've still got to finish playing the signal DLC

Yeah it kept me hooked till the end but I was also somewhat disappointed with the linearity. Thrashing out Red Dead now and enjoying that significantly more.

Maxed it out when I had it 1000/1000G :D

Played it to death.

Will prolly pick it up again when all the DLC is released and replay it. :)

Singularity for the win!! great game

Got stuck on a point with those little things in the sewers (when you fall through the floor after getting the time bubble thing...), they look like the little poppers from the Flood in Halo. Any advice on how to pass them? I'm playing on hard lol.

I loved Alan Wake, though the main problem was that it just took too long to get going. Chapters 4, 5 and 6 were exceptional, if the first 3 chapters were as good it would have been a definite contender for GOTY IMO.

Loved Alan Wake one of my favourite games this gen, The story & Soundtrack to the game are awesome. As others have said though it does get a little repetitive.
