Radio controlled alarm clock which projects time on the ceiling, other half uses cheap radio alarm clock so if my mobile is anywhere near it picks up interference.

Alarm clock. Had the same blue-backlit Argos jobby since 1990 and it's been solid. Sod using a mobile and having to fiddle about to reach for something so small just to switch it off when blurry eyed in the morning.

Both my phone, set multiple times, and an old style metal hammer/bells alarm. If I really need to wake up for something I absolutely cannot miss, I also tend to move my speakers either side of my pillow, point them at my face, and set an MP3 alarm clock. Usually Freestylers or Asian Dub Foundation. That works.

I sleep fairly heavily :p

Phone. Can apply multiple alarms with individual snooze patterns.

Best solution for mission critical timing!

I've started using the smart alarm on my android phone - it uses a basic soundscape setting i.e. "morning", "forest", "rain", etc. and builds up an ambient sound over time starting quiet and minimalistic and getting louder and more complex over about 5 minutes or so. I find I'm waking up in a much better mood rather than suddenly being started from my sleep by a klaxon type alarm blaring out and usually wake up better tho not always.

This. Love the smart alarm, nice gentle sound rather some sort klaxon-esque noise.

I need two alarms to get me out of bed. One is my bedside internet radio and I use my mobile phone which I have to get up to switch off. I've still managed to do two hours worth of snooze and back to bed on both of them though!!

I use Alarm Clock Xtreme on my Android phone. Does everything I need it to, like slowly increasing volume the longer the alarm goes on (up to a set maximum), dismiss and snooze buttons with the ability to set how to use them (like shake, press button or solve math problem to snooze/dismiss, ability to limit how many snoozes and duration etc..)

Great app for android phones and there is a free version of it that I highly recommend.

Clock radio/alarm. I like to see the time at a glance, and I generally don't have my mobile phone in our bedroom :)

I normally set about 10 alarms on my phone, spaced 2/3 minutes apart and an actual alarm clock towards the beginning - but not at the very start of - that spread.

This means I get a little "You're about to get up!" then "RIGHT NOW GET UP!" and then if I reaaaaaaaaaaally need to sleep a little longer my phone will just keep nagging me and nagging me and nagging me for the next 20 minutes :D
