Album artwork problem

Has anyone else had problems with the Album artwork within the iPod app on their iPhone?
Since my last sync most albums artworks have gone missing and some have got completely mixed up and are on the wrong albums.
The annoying thing is that everything is correct on iTunes, even the songs on the phone display correctly in iTunes but wrong on the device.

have you tried removing and putting back on?

My iPhone did this a few weeks ago. All my artworks had gone. I ended up deselecting all music from the sync prefs and syncing and then reenabling it and re synching. Worked like a charm!

Check the image resolution, mine were too big and were picking random artwork.

I have a similar problem at the minute if I put any new music onto my iPod it won't transfer the album art unless I don't tell it to lower the quality of the tracks as it synchs them. This is all well and good but I don't want to be filling my iPod with large lossless files I want the re-encoding to a lower bitrate on the fly.

This used to work fine but must have been broken by a recent itunes update anyone else got the same issue?

It's the way how later versions of iTunes work. It stores album art separately from the music file if it's not already embedded.

To fix this, you'll need to drag the artwork from iTunes to a temporary location, right-click and select clear artwork. Then select all the tracks you want to add the artwork and drag the artwork file back onto the thumbnail area to embed them.
