I've seen videos complaining about acrylic and ethanol but standard cheap vodka is going to be much weaker than ethanol.

Jesus wept that video, I regretted watching it last week after seeing the chocolate milkshake aftermath!

Apart from clouding up that CPU block's flow insert (or was that the IPA?).

I suppose a rinse with vodka won't do much, but you really don't want alcohol and acrylic touching for too long.

I think it was the IPA that did that. I suppose I should amend my advice:

"use cheap vodka mixed with distilled water at 1:4 ratio"

does that sound safe?

If your not reusing anything then you should be fine but you want to prevent as much growth as you can. Algae needs light to grow so simply blocking out light will help.

Chlorine or bleach 1/4 teaspoon of *bleach to every gallon of water should prevent growth

I was using a bleach and it worked perfectly.
