Hi All.. I sored my WC out a while back.. Used Distilled water with corrosion inhibitor etc but didnt use a silver coil or pt nuke.. Sooo the result was algae.. :( It wasnt too bad until one day i noticed that the temp was really high on the CPU  So ripped it all to bits and the waterblock was caked in the waterchannels.. so cleaned with a old toothbrush and everything seemed fine. The only problem is that i am now adding a watercooled GPU and wanted to make sure i get rid of all the algae. Now i have the X2O 450 Pump with Acrylic Reservoir and even with a lot of flushing with almost boiling water there is still some growth in there.. I know that usign clear vinegar is supposed to work well but i am not sure if that will just clean it out rather than break it down..

Any help would be appreciated :)

rinse with vinegar then brush it through with a bottlebrush or something similar, rinse and repeat as necessary, next time, use a kill coil, or PT Nuke ;)

Yeah its just that its a pain to get into and it was more the rad i was bothered about really.. Got a coil i made out of pure silver wire now that will be going in..

You could also try some watered down Milton fluid, so long as you flush it properly afterwards.

Will look into that.. maybe a good soak with the vinegar and hot water will be enough..
