After experiencing Isolation in VR, anything but would be a waste. Doesn't beat Subnautica for true terror, but when alien in VR spikes you, you feel it hard.

Another Alien game would be fantastic, just hope this time I don't have to wait years

I'm a massive Alien franchise nerd but can't bring myself to play isolation. Doom 3 almost gave me a heart attack so don't think I could handle it. More of the same isn't helping comfort me about what I've missed out on!

All I want is a sequel to isolation by the same dev team, they produced what is the best alien game ever and the only great one we have had since the original avp1/2

Same here haha! I've not been able to bring myself to even try Isolation. I've heard it's bloody petrifying!
The company I work for deals with Eaglemoss, so I got myself a free Sulaco model :cool:

There's a whole book case full of the Eaglemoss Alien collection. Trying to gather up the guts to 'appropriate myself' with another model. That Alien Queen is summoning me... (although it's worth about £150 so that could be taking the cheek to the next level haha!)

They're pushing something hard on instagram and twitter over the last few weeks.

This is the most recent but there has been loads for the new graphic novel that follows Isolation.

If they've secretly made a sequel game to Alien Isolation...I may just OD with excitement.

I've only got back into PC gaming this past year and mostly an FPS player (been playing PUBG a lot). Back in the day I loved AvP multiplayer and am a big alien / predator fan. Is Alien Isolation worth a punt and is it the kinda game that might end up in the next Steam sale as £30 for a 4+ year old game seems a little steep. Is there much action / fighting / shooting?

While it does have a little bit of shooting, it's not an action game. It's an avoid the monster/droids survival game.
If you want action, it's not for you. If you want great atmosphere, with genuine tension and scares, then go for it.

Maybe watch some gameplay vids on YT.

It's not going to be a sequel to Isolation, it sounds to me like it's some kind of interactive story thing like TellTale Walking Dead or something.

The only thing I'm really excited for is the arrival of 4K versions of the Alien films. I think the first one is due to arrive this year sometime. Don't know about the others.

Not keen on the telltale stuff, it's too hands off as a game. However I'd play the hell out of a telltale style alien game purely as I crave new Alien content in game format.

alien isolation is regularly under £10 so be patient. watch fanatical site as well as the humble store.

it is more of a 1st person stealth game rather than 1st person shooter.

personally i would not go near G2A, kinguin and places like that, they happily trade in stolen keys... and indeed when i bought from G2A (before i knew) 12 months after my purchase i had a steam message saying they were removing my game as it was stolen (IL2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad )
