A feeling of being safer than one really is...
Take a look at the teaser for the long-awaited sequel for Alien: Isolation, the survival horror game developed by Creative Assembly.

According to Creative Assembly, Alien Isolation 2 will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and not by the Cathode Engine.

This information comes straight from Creative Assembly. Right now, the company is looking for a Senior Development Manager. And, as the job listing specifically states, Alien Isolation 2 will be using Unreal Engine 5.

“This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Development Manager to join the sequel to ALIEN:ISOLATION being built in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).  ”

Thanks @mrk for the heads up!

Instant goosebumps at seeing this.

I'm not a particularly heavy gamer and certainly not one for a gaming binge, but I couldn't get enough of the original and played it at every single opportunity I could get. Absolutely loved it!

Hopefully it improves on the original and it's 5.9/10 rating

I must go back to it at some point, I bet it now looks and runs like a dream on more modern hardware. I also need to resolve the past psychological trauma of being fully emersed and on the edge during the hive segment, only for the Mrs to come in and jump scare the life out of me, I still have the habit of checking over my should every couple of minutes when I play any games with headphones now :D

Hopefully it's not so bloated. The original was way too long and outstayed its welcome, just went on and on and on. The reviews saying it was too long were correct.

I am happy with the original length because I absolutely loved the game played went on and on and on, the reviewers was all wrong gave poor ratings. I am really very excited and over the moon with Alien Isolation 2 news. Cant ************ wait to play Alien Isolation 2 on Unreal Engine 5 with fully blown path tracing. :D

@TNA he’s done it again! Get him. Soon as I read it I remembered the VR comment lol.
I would definitely recommend buying a used quest 3 headset solely for Alyx. Enjoy a lifetime standout gaming experience, then sell the headset. It's actually tragic that so many gamers, especially those who like this game type, have never experienced Alyx vr. You think CP PT is great for immersion? Go try Alyx in VR.

I’ll be honest I’ve never finished it because I just absolutely hate waggly arm controls. It is immersive though, no doubt about it.

I loved the first one, really need to play it again.

That being said my one and only play through I did play it on either the hardest or second hardest maybe difficulty, remember dying a while bunch of times in the medical area.

Great game.

Yeah the first one should have ended when you spaced the alien. Then they started showing aliens could actually survive in space. Utter drivel of a game from that point. It went from 8 or 9 out of 10 to 5 out of 10.

Also felt that the original went on for a few missions too long. It got a bit repetitive going from one end of the space station to the other to press a button. Probably still makes my top five though.

Alien: Romulus also established that Aliens can survive in space.

Ignoring whether the Alien should survive in space or not, that's still where it should have ended.

Game builds up to you getting rid of the Alien, that was the spot to end it. Instead it's "lol, there are more Aliens" and now it's the same song and dance for hours more, the game play doesn't evolve, it's just the exact same loop you have been doing from the start of the game, except now there are multiple aliens at points. It's annoying enough that the Alien just happens to stand exactly where you need to be/go and now there are two of them doing it.

Did you ever watch Alien?

Lucky lucky star

Yeah, and she killed it by blowing it out an airlock I think? I only watched it once and same with the 2nd one. I am not a fan of the movies at all and found the first one boring, the 2nd one meh and the rest utter drivel (I tried watching Prometheus and by **** it was terrible).

But this isn’t about the movies, it’s about the games and the first one was great until it wasn’t. It should have ended at the blowing it out the airlock part.

No it was alive after she depressuirused the lifeboat and was alive when she fired the dart at it in the vacuum of space.

It also lived for few seconds after Ripley switched on the engines

THe queen was alive after being blown out of hanger bay in aliens also
