This is how you optimise a pc game to run wonderfully on all hardware and look fantastic at the same time. :)

Creative assembly talk about their custom graphics engine in Alien Isolation.

In addition, Creative Assembly Studio Director Tim Heaton describes the integral role AMD played throughout the development process.

AMD said:
AMD goes behind the scenes to sit down with Lead Artist Jude Bond and Lead Designer Gary Napper from Alien: Isolation to discuss why they went back to the roots of the original 1979 film by Ridley Scott. Find out why this is the game Gary Napper has "always wanted to make" with behind the scenes interviews at Creative Assembly in West Sussex, England.

They did a fantastic job on this game for sure. I hope this engine gets further developed and that we see it utilized on many titles in the future.

It ran flawlessly on my 290x as well as on my wife's 7950, no gimmicky gameworks techs to leave AMD left out, just fantastic really.

Superb engine powered my favourite game of 2014... Loved every minute of that game..

Hope they do more, it's for me what the alien games should be.

Word.

Did indeed run well and look good. Not exactly ground breaking, but good enough. Runs just as as well on AMD hardware as Nvidia too... something that can't be said for many TWIMTBP or whatever it's called now titles... take from that what you will!

Only bug I had was some computers wouldn't display anything.
Simple fix was to run game on AFR and not the default profile..

Yes i had that issue on one screen near the start and the above fixed it.

EDIT

By the way I've just flagged this bug internally so we or the developers can get it fixed.

Good news folks this bug has already been fixed and should be present in our next drivers. :)
