It reminds me when Cameron was absolutely praising Terminator: Dark Fate before release - best thing since Terminator 2 according to Jim.My thoughts exactly, the guy who released Prometheus and Covenant approves. Well that's my fears put at rest.........................
We touched on it early in this thread last year and having seen a bit more since then that Blomkamp is involved with, I still think he's someone best kept away from writing an Alien movie, he's an utterly fantastic visual director, he just can't write well imo. His vision for the new Alien movie would have looked amazing but the story was weak sadly. Its a real pity that the Neill Blomkamp movie got stonewalled as that sounded like a great return to the Aliens franchise and I could definitely see his gritty aesthetic with the Colonial Marines in an Alien movie.
That was all filmed and is in the directors cut/workprint - such a silly decision to cut it out of the theatrical release.Even the novel of Alien 3 was better than the movie, in the novel they do drive the alien using fire into an unused nuclear waste facility, then some nutter let's it out again.
Notsureifsrs.gifOh I didn't realise that, yea that's crazy there isn't a special edition like Aliens with it in.
Ah good, I didn't want to explain then find out you were winding me upYeah I was, I Googled it after and now can see there is a special edition, I must watch this I have never seen it.
Does 5 minutes even get you past the introduction with David and Weyland?Just watched 5 minutes of alien covenant..
