Alien Vs Predator - Multiplayer Preview/Dev Talk

The same way they made it appealing in the previous games; motion detectors, flame throwers, gatling guns and battle mechs.

Yes, battle mechs.

I always liked how marines had pretty much the best weaponry, but it was balanced by them also having very little health. My weapon of choice was an alien drone, the feeling of excitement as you leapt your way down a corridor, barely evading what would be instantly fatal gunfire, and then finally sinking your claws into your enemy.

But yes, marching around, stomping heads in a battle mech was also epic.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong – if I am correct, the game came out on the Atari Jaguar first, then graced the PC many years later, AvP 2 and it’s add-ons came a few years down the line and had changed the game quite a bit – think it was also a different team doing these games?

I’m guessing you’re a PC gamer first and foremost, as you seem from these posts, dead-set against the idea that this game will be any good on consoles, I’m not sure what facts you’re basing this opinion on

A few year ago I would have agreed whole-heartedly with you that the PC version will be the best, and I guess in some respects that is still true (lightening fast movement and potentially better graphics), but warning people off of a console version because of your own bias doesn’t make it so.

Na your wrong but still nice try :)

This game is the true sequal to the pc game which came out for the pc in 99

As long as it gives me the willies like AvP2 did, I shall be content. And lie awake all night waiting for the aliens to come and get me.

Cant be the case.. This has ALWAYS been a PC game, the game only came out beacuse of the popular demand of the old games. Ive been told there will be no ports as each version was created from the ground up.

But if you have a good PC you clearly have to get it for that, the easier controls, better graphics etc.

Could not resist this post, the COD series end of argument. A game that started out and acquired all of its fame through a PC and is now heavily a console title. What makes you think AVP will be any different lol im saying this as an avid player of both you just need to open your eyes to the real world and realise consoles are fast becoming the no 1 gaming machine over a PC. like it or not.

I really want this to be good, but am not getting my hopes up. I still have such fond memories of playing the original.

Beep..................... beep.........................beep...........beep......beep....beep.beepbeepneep

Oh my word *runs off to install AvP2 on PC again*. I'm getting this for the PS3 but I'll probably take a run through single player on AvP2 for PC soon.

Ima think im avoiding demo for this as i want everything to be new to me sounds odd i know but i highly doubt i wont like this game and if i dont ill just return it lol

I am actually quite ****ed off that its coming to consoles to be honest. I know there will be no porting on any of the platforms for this game which is good for everyone but i just think it should have had all man power focused on the PC version while creating the game, i just hope you console lot didnt slow us down or prevented us from the game we have been waiting 10+ years for..

Actual lol'age

Get it on Console if you want to cry that much about it?

I wasn't anticipating this, now I am. I played AVP2 for the first time a couple of years ago and it made Doom3/F.E.A.R. feel like a leisurely stroll in the park.

EDIT: Just watched above link, and DAYMN!
