Alienware R3 15 to replace my PC question

Hello All,

Been thinking about it for a while, I'm turning into a filthy casual and want to know if a i7 1070 Alienware will drive my 165hz 1440 IPS monitor?

Anyone tried? My current PC does it fine on the games I play I just wanted to know that if I made the switch it would work just as well?

Also what are peoples view on this laptop?

Should be fine. I have a 980ti in my desktop machine with the asus swift 2560x1440 120hz monitor. The 1070 is a little better.
