Alienware X51 or Shuttle SZ77R5

With regards to compact SFF cases I would consider the following:
1.)Shuttle R5
2.)Silverstone SG07 and SG08
3.)Silverstone SG05 and SG06
4.)Silverstone FT03 Mini

There are larger mini-ITX cases too:
1.)Lian Li Q08 and Q18
2.)Bitfenix Prodigy
3.)Lian Li Q25

However, for slightly more volume you can small mATX cases which take full length cards:
1.)Silverstone TJ08e
2.)Silverstone SG09

Just want to add/clarify, both mATX SilverStone cases are actually not bigger than the Prodigy. Below is a reorganized list of above mentioned cases based on size volume:

SilverStone SG05/SG06 - 11 liters
Shuttle R5 ------------- 14 liters
SilverStone SG07/SG08 - 15 liters
SilverStone FT03-MINI -- 18 liters
Lian-Li PC-Q25 ----------20 liters
Lian-Li PC-Q08/PC-Q18 - 21 liters
SilverStone SG09 ------- 23 liters
SilverStone TJ08-E ----- 30 liters
BitFenix Prodigy -------- 36 liters

Thanks to all.

I think it will be the Shuttle SZ77R5 for me - I'll let you know how I get on DAZZLER

Thanks to Silverstone_Rep for the comparative sizes.

Be back when I buy something :)

Although the above sizes are true in terms of how much space it takes within a cubby hole, or on a desk, it is not true in terms of internal space without plastics, or so I can only say for BitFenix.

Internally, there is 26.35 liters for the Prodigy. Although there are cases with fewer liters that hold a mATX board, they can compromise in certain areas, such as radiator support, atx power supplies, cable management, 23cm fans, tall CPU heatsinks, or long graphics cards. In some cases (figu, that allow you to put ATX PSU's, but restrict your heatsink to 60mm, or no radiator support, etc.
This is almost the same as saying "My mid tower can hold EATX motherboards", but how much do you compromise? A couple of hard drives? H20 support?

When looking for a small form factor build, there are things to consider. From BitFenix, willingness to compromise is one of them for Prodigy. Looking for the smallest build you can find? Prodigy might not be your first option. But a GTX 690 + 60mm rad push pull + i7 3770k with 4x SSD's - I don't think it'll fit in a 20L case.

I'm having to indefinitely shelf this idea, since my long term employment prospects Have taken a nose dive.

I didn't however want to appear uncommunicative or ungrateful to everyone who contributed.

Thanks for your help and suggestions and bye for now.
