There all as bent as each other, its like having Mike Tyson as a bodyguard and firing him for being too violent, just to replace him with Al Capone.

Tbh I am so disillusioned with politics these days I am beginning not to even care

didnt gordon brown spend loads of money on wallpaper that cost thousands a roll a few years ago? tax payers money btw that he claimed would be worth it because the wallpaper would last for a very long time,(until he gets bored with it)

Yes, but it is a bit different when you're decorating 10 Downing Street. I'll grant him that

I would forgive Gordon Brown spending my hard earned money if he bought himself a large bomb, got the cabinet all in room and then detonated it, preferably with himself there too.

The thing is though, his expenses one is the only one (that I have heard of) where you go 'yeah, fair enough...'. He claimed a service charge for a 6 month period (for the next 6 months), then 3 months later he moved, so the service charge should have partly been repaid.

When you compare that to the rest of the expenses where people are month after month claiming for something that doesnt exist (i.e. mortgage) then those are the ones who should be sacked (not let to stand down and get 100k pay off).

I always see him as Elliot Carver the bond villain, he is his exact double.

If Balls becomes chancellor then imo it's likely we'll see a full on Labour leadership contest. Hopefully Alan Johnson will run and win - he's the only candidate who can stop Cameron imo.

bbc article said:
As a cabinet minister, and especially as chancellor, he said he wanted to "make sure I pay the correct amount of tax".

This to me shows how messed up the current system is. He's having to claim for financial advice on his own finances and he's doing finances for the whole country. "Tax doesn't have to be taxing" yet if the chancellor can't figure out what he has to pay himself why is he trusted to do it for the rest of the country?

But, why isnt HMRC going after them all for tax evasion?

Oh thats right, because they would be out of a job the next day.

Brown was a very bad chancellor. Darlings time there has been almost comical. But I have a really bad feeling Balls could even top those 2 incompetents. For the love of God call an election and end this charade before no party can undo the mess of the last decade.
