I'm getting all kinds of networking problems lately, I'm guessing it's because i've got too many things hooked up but i'm not sure, hopefully someone can help me out!
Setup is as follows:
1 x games/general use PC - Vista 64 - wireless
1 x HTPC - Vista 32 - wired, router
1 x Server/NAS - Linux Ubuntu server - wired, switch
2 x work laptops - wired switch + router
1 x sky HD box - wired router
1 x xbox 360 - wired router
I have:
1 netgear router (the one that comes with sky)
1 netgear gigabit switch.
The server and work PCs are connected to the switch, the rest are connected wirelessley or via the router (as above)
Basically, I can see the NAS/Server from the HTPC ok, but i cannot see it from my games PC. I'm in the process of setting up the NAS as an itunes server but it's not much use if i cannot see it. I can see everything on the network from the HTPC, but cannot connect to my general use pc.
Any ideas what's going wrong? It seems to act rather randomly too when i startup, sometimes some things are fine, other times it's all over the place!
