All my passwords just randomly dissapeared, should I be worried?

I was away from my pc a few hours (home pc, doors were locked) and I was just trying to login into my email account and I realised nothing was automatically put into the field. Strange, so I checked firefox and ALL my password and usernames had disappeared.

Now I may be sceptical, but in my life of using firefox this has never happened. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be worried, it may have been some sort of bug in Firefox. Did you reinstall or update Firefox recently? It's highly unlikely that someone could have accessed your passwords, hopefully someone else can back me up on this.

have your bookmarks etc gone too?

people often have firefox settings dissapear for whatever reason.. i use mozbackup to keep a quick backup of the settings/extensions i have :)

have you run anything like 'ccleaner' recently? by default that removes firefox & ie temp files and cookies

Probably just a bug, also you can clear saved passwords and field info in the privacy section.

Thanks for the reply guys,

Firefox was acting rather strange, so I re-installed then a day later it happened. It was just the passwords. Fortunately for me, I backed up using mozbackup :)

I'll just let it be :)
